Candied Sweet Potatoes
I've been making them this way for about 35 years now.
It's also an easy recipe to double or triple, for a Thanksgiving crowd!
You can cook the sweet potatoes early in the day, and prepare the sauce when you are ready! That's usually what I do!
How to Make Candied Sweet Potatoes
- Place the sweet potatoes, with skins on, in a large pot and cover with water.
Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, until tender.
- Drain, and let cool slightly, so you can remove the skins.
Then quarter the potatoes, and set aside.
