- 6 cups yams, peeled and cubed
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne peper

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. In a large bowl, toss together yams, brown sugar, pecans and cayenne pepper; spread into an even layer in prepared pan. Bake 20 minutes or until yams are tender and sugar is carmelized. Makes 8 servings.
