Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves
  • 3 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 3 cloves garlic,mashed
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated romano cheese
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta

How To Make basil pesto

  • Step 1
    In food processor mince the basil,parsley,nuts and garlic until fine.Add the cheese and the oil and process until blended to consistency of a paste.Add more oil if needed.
  • Step 2
    Toss with pasta or vegetables. Drizzle with more oil on top of pasta to keep from drying.Add to baked potato or soups.
