Ingredients

  • 2 c
    fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 c
    fresh parsley leaves
  • 3 Tbsp
    pine nuts
  • 3 clove
    garlic,mashed
  • 1/4 c
    freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp
    freshly grated romano cheese
  • 6 Tbsp
    olive oil or avocado oil
  • 2 c
    uncooked pasta

How to Make Basil Pesto

Step-by-Step

  1. In food processor mince the basil,parsley,nuts and garlic until fine.Add the cheese and the oil and process until blended to consistency of a paste.Add more oil if needed.
  2. Toss with pasta or vegetables. Drizzle with more oil on top of pasta to keep from drying.Add to baked potato or soups.
