Blue Ribbon Recipe
Who knew that sausage and apples in baked beans would be so good?! The spicy/sweet combination in this recipe is divine. Chunks of apple are a tasty surprise and pair well with the sausage. There's only a hint of the nutmeg... it leaves your taste buds wondering what's that spice. This hearty side dish will be the perfect addition to your BBQ when you want to serve an untraditional baked beans recipe.
Note: Depending on how big you cut your apples you may have to bake this a bit longer for the apples to soften.
