This is such a good dish and can be used as a main dish on a snowy, cold night or a side dish. A great way to get kids to eat their veggies (and hubbies too!).

head cabbage
large onion
6 slice
large potatoes
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make New England Delight


  • 1Slice cabbage into strips - rinse and drain well. Scrub potatoes and dice into bite size pieces. Chop onion.
  • 2In large skillet cook bacon slices until golden brown and crisp. Remove to paper towel. In bacon drippings add remainder of ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring often to insure even cookding.
  • 3When cabbage and potatoes are tender, add crumbled bacon. Add seasonings to taste. Give a good stir, serve and sit back and enjoy all the compliments!
