I love these yellow bean pickles that were Mum's recipe. They are tart and tasty, and I hope you'll enjoy them! They are wonderful with baked ham.

- 4 quarts yellow beans
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 4 cups white sugar
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
How To Make mum's yellow bean mustard pickles

Step 1Boil beans in salted water until tender. Strain, put back into the pot, and set aside.

Step 2Mix all dry ingredients in a saucepan. Add vinegar and stir well to remove any lumps. Heat and boil until thickened. Reduce the heat to low.

Step 3Put the pot with beans on the burner and add the mixture to the beans. Just heat through thoroughly (about 5 mins - don't let boil).

Step 4Put into sterilized jars and seal.
