Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup blanched slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup uncooked bulgur
- 1/4 cup dry lentils, rinsed
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 can 14.5 oz. can chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
- 1/3 cup chopped dried apricots
How To Make moroccan bulgur and lentils

Step 1Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir almonds 1-2 minutes or until browned (be care not to burn). Remove almonds with a slotted spoon; set aside.

Step 2Add bulgur, lentils and onion; cook and stir 2-3 minutes or until onion is crisp-tender. Add broth, cinnamon and ground red pepper; bring to a boil and then reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20-30 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.

Step 3Stir in almonds and apricots; heat thoroughly.
