marinated onions
This recipe is so creamy & delicious. It takes away the strong onion taste, but still gives you the flavor. The recipe was given to me by a great friend from my church family. It is so simple & easy. The flavor will surprise you.

Ingredients
- 3 - onions (sliced) (i used the big texas sweet onions, since they were big i only used 2)
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar ( i used white)
- tablespoon mayonnaise (enough to make creamy)
- 1 teaspoon celery seeds
- - salt to taste
How To Make marinated onions

Step 1Slice the onions into rings.( something like between 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick).Put in a sealable bowl.

Step 2Boil the water, sugar, & vinegar.

Step 3Pour over onion rings. Put on the lid.

Step 4Refrigerate over night.

Step 5The next day, DRAIN OFF liquid. Mix several Tablespoons of mayonnaise & the celery seeds. Add salt to taste.

Step 6Refrigerate until ready to serve.
