instant pot®& instant pot® air fryer bake beans

A mix of my Moms Bake Bean recipe but made in pressure cooker and finished with the air fryer. You can double it to make for 6 person. Was so good they went fast and forgot to take pic. Will post around the 4th of July, when I will make it again.

Ingredients

  • 1 can pork & beans
  • 2 tablespoons oil or butter
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 cup yellow onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green peppers, diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup bbq sauce
  • 1/3 teaspoon mustard

How To Make instant pot®& instant pot® air fryer bake beans

  • Step 1
    Turn on Instant Pot® and select Saute function. Add oil or butter, turkey bacon, yellow onions, green peppers, and cook until browned. about 8-10 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Pour whole can of beans in Instant Pot® (6 Quart) add brown sugar, cinnamon, pinch of nutmeg, BBQ sauce, and mustard to the Instant Pot®. Close the lid. Select pressure cook button (should automatically be set to high pressure) according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 1 minute. Allow anywhere between 5 to 10 minutes for pressure to build.(Pot does this on its own).
  • Step 3
    Do Natural Release of pressure method (NRP) (once pressure cycle ends, after beep let pot sit to naturally release pressure) according to manufacturer's instructions, for 10 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid.
  • Step 4
    Switch to Instant Pot® Air fryer lid set to bake function for 18 mins stirring half way between set time (9 mins). Put top back on and finish cycle. Let cool
