2garlic cloves, smashed but still whole
3 cchicken broth, non-fat
How to Make Easy and Healthy Garlic Farro
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat warm olive oil and garlic until fragrant. Do not brown. Add the farro and let it toast in the olive oil until it starts to look golden, stirring often. Add the chicken broth and increase the heat to high bringing it to a boil.
- Reduce heat. Cover with a tight-fitting lid and simmer for 18 minutes. Remove from heat and wait 5 minutes before removing lid.
- Remove lid. Remove garlic cloves and fluff with a fork. Serve warm. Reheats well. Freezes well.
