1 lb
bacon finely chopped
1 medium
onion finely chopped
2 lb
cabbage finely diced
1/4 tsp
chili flakes ( optional)
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
pepper
1
granny smith apple finely chopped ( optional) give a very special flavor

How to Make Fried Cabbage Dish

Step-by-Step

  • 1Fry bacon until crisp and well browned.
    Drain and set aside.
  • 2Add chopped onion to the bacon grease and stir until translucent
  • 3Add cabbage, pepper flakes, salt and pepper, stirring until all cabbage is coated
  • 4Add the crumbled bacon bits, peeled and diced apple and cover.
    Cook over low heat until cabbage is tender.
