This if from an old recipe book belonging to Mrs. Marion Johnson from Gentry, Arkansas. She had clipped this from a newspaper or magazine and placed it in her recipe book. Love to collect these old ones so they don't get lost.

  • - dandelion blossoms
  • - salted water
  • - eggs, beaten
  • - flour
  • - cornmeal

How To Make french fried dandelion blossoms

  • Step 1
    Clean and soak dandelion blossoms in salt water for 30 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Then dip in beaten egg
  • Step 3
    .Then in a mixture of flour and corn meal.
  • Step 4
    Brown on both sides in hot grease or lard. Delicious. Half ripe tomatoes are good this way, too.
