This is a good recipe for shrimp patties that my aunt gave me last year.

Ingredients

  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 can 10 ounce can of evaporated milk
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons (or 2 teaspoons) salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 pounds medium raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
  • 1 - 10 ounce package of frozen mixed vegetables (completely thawed and drained)
  • 4 cups vegetable oil (for deep frying)
  • 2 cups shredded crab meat (optional)

How To Make chamorro shrimp patties

  • Step 1
    combine eggs and evaporated milk in a bowl and beat together.
  • Step 2
    Add in flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and other seasoning and mix.
  • Step 3
    Add in shrimp. crab meat (if you're using it), and mixed vegetables and combine.
  • Step 4
    Heat oil in a skillet on medium-high
  • Step 5
    When the oil is heated, drop large spoonfuls of the batter into the oil and fry until golden. Use a bamboo skewer and poke it through the patty to make sure it's done. If the skewer comes out clean, then it's just right.
  • Step 6
    Drain oil over paper towels and serve.
