This homemade dressing is especially good with the Amish Smoked Turkey but can be made with any turkey or chicken broth and meat.

How to Make AmishTurkey Dressing

  1. Two days prior to baking, lay out slices of bread to dry. The amount will depend on how big a dish of dressing you want.
  2. Break dried bread into a large mixing bowl. Cut and add onion to taste and celery leaves. Add pepper (and salt, if not using broth from the Amish Turkey recipe). Add 2-3 eggs and broth from baked turkey along with pieces of turkey meat and stir until bread is completely soaked and soupy. More broth may be needed at this point.
  3. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.
