Waistline-Friendly Stewed Apples
3 mediumtart apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/4 to 1/2 csplenda or other artificial sweetener (or to taste)
1 tspunpacked brown sugar
1 tspbutter (optional)
How to Make Waistline-Friendly Stewed Apples
- Place all ingredients in a medium sized sauce pan and cover with water. Bring to a boil; Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes or until apples are tender.
- Drain and serve over your favorite hot cereal for breakfast or as a delicious side dish at lunch or dinner.
- Special Note: You can adjust the amount of artificial sweetener depending on the tartness of the apples used or your personal tastes.
