I've never been a big fan of cranberry relishes until I made this; it's more of a salad. It came from our Family Heritage cookbook; my grandmas recipe. It's a great 'year round' feature at our house; we love it!

3 c
fresh cranberries
1/2 c
white sugar or splenda
1 small
pkg. red jello (i use sugar free)
1 c
apples, peeled, cored, chopped
1/2 c
walnuts, roughly chopped
1/2 c
chopped celery

How to Make Not Your Same Ol' Cranberry Relish/Salad


  • 1Wash cranberries. Put in a pan, cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook until they start popping, stir and go a couple minutes longer.
  • 2Add sugar and jello to the cooked cranberries; cool.
  • 3Add the apples, walnuts and celery stirring well.
    Place in a covered container and refrigerate.
    This will last up to 3 weeks in the fridge.
