Mother made this every Thanksgiving and Christmas as a side for her turkey, one year when she left the cooking up to us I made it she didn't like mine and insisted that I put something in it that I shouldn't. (I did it was celery she never let me forget it.

Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh cranberrys
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup sugars
- 1/2 box cherry jello ( small box)
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 1/4 cup pecans (chopped )
How To Make mothers cranberry sauce

Step 1In a large sauce pan put cranberries and water. Cook on med. Stirring often.

Step 2When the berries and water come to a simmer and berries begin to pop add sugar , jello and orange juice.

Step 3When berries are done popping remove from heat add orange zest and pecans mix well let cool.
