Mother made this every Thanksgiving and Christmas as a side for her turkey, one year when she left the cooking up to us I made it she didn't like mine and insisted that I put something in it that I shouldn't. (I did it was celery she never let me forget it.

  • 2 c
    fresh cranberrys
  • 1/2 c
  • 3/4 c
  • 1/2 box
    cherry jello ( small box)
  • 1 tsp
    orange zest
  • 2 Tbsp
    orange juice
  • 1/4 c
    pecans (chopped )

How to Make Mothers Cranberry Sauce


  1. In a large sauce pan put cranberries and water. Cook on med. Stirring often.
  2. When the berries and water come to a simmer and berries begin to pop add sugar , jello and orange juice.
  3. When berries are done popping remove from heat add orange zest and pecans mix well let cool.
