crockpot applesauce
My husband enjoys homemade applesauce. My nephews always want me to bring applesauce to family get togethers. What an easy request when you can prepare, freeze and pull out the day before to thaw. If they only knew!

- 12 - granny smith apples, peeled, cored and quartered
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
How To Make crockpot applesauce
-
Step 1Add all ingredients to slow cooker. Heat on low until apples are tender. About 5-6 hours. It really depends upon the cooker.
-
Step 2When apples are tender, whisk with a wire whisk until the sauce is the consistancy you prefer.
-
Step 3Cool. Divide into freezer safe containers if it lasts that long
-
Step 4HINT: If you have one of the apple corer peelers that attach to the counter, this recipe is a breeze!
