Can't remember where I learned this but I've been using this incredibly simple method of roasting garlic to whip in with butter, as an appetizer with goat cheese and olives, cheese board or to top on crusty French bread and to add into various recipes.

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
- 6 - garlic heads
- 1 pinch sea salt (optional)
How To Make roasted garlic

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees.

Step 2Drizzle olive oil across bottom of baking dish; try to tilt dish to cover entire bottom surface.

Step 3Slice off the very top of the garlic head so it has a flat surface. Place each garlic head flat side down in the dish. If sea salt is used, you can sprinkle it in at this time.

Step 4Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven. Remove cloves from garlic heads and either mince them or leave them in their heads and store for later use. STORAGE: Store these in a plastic baggie in the refrigerator for several days if desired.
