I grew up on apple butter and love it. I came across this recipe for pumpkin butter and it's just as scrumptious and so easy to make! I tweaked it a little to make it my own. I have it on toasted English Muffins and biscuits.

  • 2 (15-oz) can(s)
    pumpkin (not pie filling)
  • 2 tsp
  • 3/4 c
    apple cider or apple juice
  • 1-1/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp
    pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 Tbsp

How to Make Pumpkin Butter


  1. Mix all ingredients together in a medium saucepan. Mix well.
  2. Bring mixture to boil, stirring frequently.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer 25-30 minutes until thickened. Let cool completely. Refrigerate.
