This pesto is a little different... it has walnuts in it! But it is really good. I like it on Tricuits.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup olive oil, extra virgin
- 1 - lemon,juiced
- 6 - cloves of garlic
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 can walnuts
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- - salt and black pepper to taste
How To Make joan's pesto

Step 1Blend the 1/2 cup of olive oil,the lemon juice,basil leaves,walnuts and grated parmesan cheese in a food processor until all ingredients are integrated.

Step 2With the processor running, slowly the 1 cup of olive oil until the mixture becomes a thick slightly textured paste.

Step 3enjoy on bruchetta, in soups, or on crackers.
