BROWN SUGAR HAM GLAZE
Rose Mary Mogan
In going through some of my vintage pictures, I realized I had not shared this & a few other recipes with you. With the holidays fast approaching, you may want to give this simple & easy Ham Glaze Recipe a try. It is a very tasty recipe & so simple to make. If you are serving an extra large ham you may want to double this recipe, or if you want an extra serving of glaze on the side. Heat on stove top if desired over low heat. I have also added a bit of ground cloves to this recipe.
How to Make BROWN SUGAR HAM GLAZE
- Using a fork or your fingers, mix the brown sugar with the dry mustard powder. Then add enough orange juice until it reaches the desired spreading consistency to spread over the ham AFTER IT IS ALMOST DONE. ABOUT 30 MINUTES BEFORE IT IS COMPLETELY COOKED.
- About 1/2 hour prior to ham baking add the brown sugar glaze mixture over ham, and repeat at least 2 to 3 times or as desired. Allow ham to rest and cool slightly prior to carving if not already sliced.
