1 teaspoon paprika, sharp
1/4 cup marinated red pepper, chopped fine
4 tablespoons chopped basil

Step 1

In a medium bowl, mix by hand, mold and serve cold.

Step 2

This spread and other cream cheese spreads do not freeze well. It may be kept in the refrigerator for several days. Serve at parties with crackers or bread. Another idea is to serve with mini-bagels.

Another version of this spread is used at Einstein's Bagels in their veggie bagel sandwiches.

NOTE: Marinated red pepper can be purchased at WalMart. For sharp paprika, check the international section of your local supermarket.
