I love creating my own spice mixes; not only does it give you control over the ingredients, and keeps out the chemicals and preservatives, in addition you can tweak it to fit your individual tastes. - 1 tablespoon dried bay leaves, finely ground
- 1 tablespoon celery seeds, ground
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- THE REMAINDER OF THE SPICES
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard, i prefer coleman’s
- 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 teaspoon white pepper, freshly ground
- 1 teaspoon paprika, smoked variety
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
