Baking Essentials: Cheez-It Breadcrumbs

Andy Anderson !

I like Cheez-It crackers. I make my own, and sometimes bring a bowl into the studio to nosh on while I am working. This recipe; however, is not for crackers, it is for making breadcrumbs, and used for kicking up the flavor of breaded chicken, pork, beef; even seafood.

i am shy on photos; however, I made these last evening, and did not decide to publish until the last few steps... My Bad.

So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

  6. Add the dry ingredients to a food processor and give it a few pulses to combine.
  7. Add about a quarter of the eggs, cheese, and butter, then give a few pulses.

  9. Add a sheet of parchment paper to a baking sheet and spread the dough evenly across the bottom of the sheet.
  10. Toss into the preheated oven and bake for about 10 – 12 minutes.
