warm crab spread

This is a quick, yet tasty spread that's a cinch to make...Imitation crab is used, as that's what I had on hand and always works well in this spread. Try it for your next get together...it's sure to be a hit. I halved the recipe today...

Ingredients

  • 2 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 - 8 ounces imitation crabmeat - chopped or flaked
  • 3 tablespoons minced, green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper sauce - i use franks
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • paprika - for garnish
  • assorted - crackers

How To Make warm crab spread

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degree F. In a medium sized bowl; beat the cream cheese until nice and smooth... Next fold in the remaining ingredients, except almonds and paprika, making sure everything is well blended. Spread into a 9 inch pie plate. Sprinkle evenly with almonds. Sprinkle the top with paprika.
  • Step 2
    Bake for 29 minutes or until heated through. Serve with assorted crackers.
