This is a butter that is made at a Texas Landmark for comfort food. They put this on an aged Certified Angus Steak. It's great! Thanks for sharing, Threadgill's.

Ingredients

  • 1 small orange
  • 1 medium lemon
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon tarragon
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

How To Make citrus butter

  • Step 1
    Grate the top layer (colored part only) of orange and lemon rind. Chop rind and garlic very fine. Squeeze juice from the fruit and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Cream butter in mixer, adding garlic, rind and spices. Add soy sauce and reserved juice. Whip until thoroughly blended. *Note: Extra citrus butter may be frozen
