browned butter frosting
After requests for me to post the frosting I used on my cranberry cookies, to make it more accessible...here it is...you know who you are!...for a cake, I would probably triple or at least double the recipe...I'm posting the recipe that frosted 30 cookies. Thanks for the emails...

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 - 4 tablespoons hot water ( only took 2 for the consistency i wanted )
How To Make browned butter frosting

Step 1Heat the butter in a saucepan over low heat until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

Step 2Cool for 2 minutes; transfer to a small bowl. Add sugar and vanilla. Beat in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until frosting reaches desired consistency.
