This recipe comes from the old Hall's Drug Store that had a lunch counter and was in downtown Logan, West Virginia years and years ago. This was my go to hot dog sauce for years, I hope you will enjoy it too

Ingredients

5 pounds hamburger
3 cups water
1 cup ketchup
6 ounces tomato paste
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt (adjust as needed)
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1/2 cup chili powder
1/2 cup parprika

How To Make hall's drug store hot dog chili

Step 1

Add water to a large heavy pot, put hamburger in and break up with your hands, cook till hamburger is no longer pink.

Step 2

Mix all other ingredients until smooth, add to pot.
Step 3

Bring to a boil, and the reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
