Ingredients

  • 1 pound cherry tomatoes, or whole tomatoes quartered
  • 1 - red, yellow or orange bell pepper
  • 1 - poblano pepper
  • 1 - jalapeno pepper
  • 1 small sweet onion
  • 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried mustard
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 32 ounces v-8, low sodium
  • 12 ounces beer
  • 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 12 ounces molasses
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt

How To Make garden vegetable bbq sauce

  • Step 1
    Dice peppers and onion finely, add to large pot with about 1-2 tbsp. of olive oil. Add tomatoes, cover with lid and simmer on very low till veggies are nice and tender.
  • Step 2
    Once veggies are tender, add V-8, beer, all the remaining ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Simmer on low for about 4 hrs.
  • Step 4
    Once sauce has cooled, place about some in food processor or blender and puree to make sure veggies are reduced to sauce. Repeat until all sauce is blended.
