This frosting is really good when you pour it over a nice warmed fresh baked banana bread.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

How To Make caramel frosting

  • Step 1
    Heat sugar, butter, brown sugar and milk in a medium sized saucepan on med, until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a rolling boil and cook for only 1 minute. Remove from heat
  • Step 2
    Stir in vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat with a wooden spoon until desired consistency, it should be thick but loose enough to pour over the banana bread.
  • Step 3
    Immediately pour over the banana bread and sprinkle with chopped walnuts or pecans. Which ever chopped nut you used in the banana bread recipe. Let cool, slice and serve
