How to Make Caramel Frosting
- Heat sugar, butter, brown sugar and milk in a medium sized saucepan on med, until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a rolling boil and cook for only 1 minute. Remove from heat
- Stir in vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat with a wooden spoon until desired consistency, it should be thick but loose enough to pour over the banana bread.
- Immediately pour over the banana bread and sprinkle with chopped walnuts or pecans. Which ever chopped nut you used in the banana bread recipe. Let cool, slice and serve
