This sauce is so good on ice cream, rice pudding, but I love it best on my bread & butter pudding.

This butterscotch is rich and delish! I tried it over some vanilla ice cream and I couldn't put my spoon down. Quick and easy, you can whip up a batch for those sudden sundae urges.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make butterscotch sauce

  • Step 1
    Stir the brown sugar and corn syrup together in a small heavy bottom pan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 6 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Remove from the heat, stir in the salt, butter and vanilla, and blend.
