This butterscotch is rich and delish! I tried it over some vanilla ice cream and I couldn't put my spoon down. Quick and easy, you can whip up a batch for those sudden sundae urges.

- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make butterscotch sauce

Step 1Stir the brown sugar and corn syrup together in a small heavy bottom pan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 6 minutes.

Step 2Remove from the heat, stir in the salt, butter and vanilla, and blend.
