  • 1 can small, tomato paste
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup agave nectar
  • 1/4 cup liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter

How To Make homemade healthier bbq sauce

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients (except butter) in a sauce pan
  • Step 2
    bring to a boil, then simmer on low for about 1 hour.
  • Step 3
    add in the butter and stir.
