You can save a lot of money not buying ready made marinades, plus they have a lot of preservatives and God only knows what. Make your own,experiment! It's all in your fridge, right now.

Ingredients For not just any marinade

  • 1 c
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic (chopped)
  • 3 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • 2 tsp
    dill, dried
  • 2 tsp
    thyme, dried
  • 1 tsp
    basil, dried
  • 1 Tbsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp
    salt

How To Make not just any marinade

  • 1
    Mix all together, pour over either chicken, lamb, even lean beef. I always use a zip lock bag to get mixture completely covering the meat. Chill.

    Marinades work best at least for 2 hours or longer,but in a pinch, an hour is fine.
