I like to make my own BBQ sauce. This turned out so good I used it on grilled Shrimp, Pork Steaks and on chicken..

  • 1 6oz can(s)
    tomato paste.
  • 1 c
    good bourbon
  • 1/2 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 c
    maple syrup
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce, low sodium
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    hot sauce
  • 2 tsp
    each, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion power.
  • 1 tsp
    each ground cuman, and musterd powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    teriyaki sauce

How to Make Maple-Bourbon BBQ Sauce


  1. In a large sauce pan over med-high heat. Whisk all ingredients together.. bring to a simmer. whisking the whole time. bring heat down to a slow gentle simmer. cook until thickened and reduced by half..
  2. Let cool and refrigerate, covered, for up to two weeks..
