FRESH WHOLE CRANBERRY SAUCE (SALLYE)

Ingredients

12 ozfresh cranberries

1 cgranulated sugar

1/2 cfresh squeezed orange juice
-
1/2 cwater
-
1 tspgrated orange rind
How to Make FRESH WHOLE CRANBERRY SAUCE (SALLYE)
- Place all ingredients in heavy saucepan over medium high heat.
Stir well with wooden spoon to make sure all ingredients are blended.
Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to low.
Allow to simmerabout 10 minutes until cranberries begin to pop open. Cook for 2-3 more minutes until sauce begins to thicken.
NOTE: IF YOU OVERCOOK, CRANBERRIES WILL BECOME TOUGH AND BITTER
Stir often to avoid sticking and/or scorching. - When sauce begins to thicken, remove from heat and transfer to serving dish.
You can either serve immediately or place covered in fridge until ready to use.
