Ingredients
- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon grated orange rind
How To Make fresh whole cranberry sauce (sallye)

Step 1Place all ingredients in heavy saucepan over medium high heat. Stir well with wooden spoon to make sure all ingredients are blended. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to low. Allow to simmerabout 10 minutes until cranberries begin to pop open. Cook for 2-3 more minutes until sauce begins to thicken. NOTE: IF YOU OVERCOOK, CRANBERRIES WILL BECOME TOUGH AND BITTER Stir often to avoid sticking and/or scorching.

Step 2When sauce begins to thicken, remove from heat and transfer to serving dish. You can either serve immediately or place covered in fridge until ready to use.
