fresh peach pancake topper

I kind of fell into this recipe when I was putting up Peach Butter and Jam. I had some peaches that needed to ripen a little longer but when they were ready I just couldn't summon the energy to can such a small amount of them so this is what I came up with. We liked it so much that I have made up more and frozen it for a special treat when the weather is cold and we are longing for warm weather.

Ingredients

  • 2 - ripe peaches per person
  • - sweetener to taste
  • - cinnamon, ground
  • - freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon lemon or orange juice

How To Make fresh peach pancake topper

  • Step 1
    Peel the skin off one peach. Leave the skin on the other. Slice fruit and through the seed away.
  • Step 2
    Mash or blend the fruit. Add lemon or orange juice. Add sweetener and spices to taste.
  • Step 3
    Serve over warm pancakes and enjoy.
