My nephews (8 and 10) love this recipe. It's the only way I can get them to eat veggies and they are very picky eaters.

garbanzo beans 15 oz
1/4 c
lemon juice
1/4 c
1 clove
garlic minced
2 Tbsp
olive oil
1 tsp
kosher salt
1/2 tsp
2-3 Tbsp

How to Make Hummus


  • 1Peel garbanzo beans. Rinse with water and a dash of lemon juice.
  • 2In a food processor mix tahini and lemon juice for 1 minute.
  • 3Add olive oil, garlic, cumin and salt. Process for 30 seconds. Scarp sides and process for another 30 seconds.
  • 4Add beans and process for 30 seconds. Scrap sides of food processor and process another 30 seconds.
  • 5Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time and process until you reach desired consistency.
  • 6Put in a container, sprinkle with paprika, cover and store in the fridge for up to a week. Serve with vegetables or crackers.
