My nephews (8 and 10) love this recipe. It's the only way I can get them to eat veggies and they are very picky eaters.

Food Processor


  • 1 can(s)
    garbanzo beans 15 oz
  • 1/4 c
    lemon juice
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 clove
    garlic minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 2-3 Tbsp
  • pinch

How to Make Hummus


  1. Peel garbanzo beans. Rinse with water and a dash of lemon juice.
  2. In a food processor mix tahini and lemon juice for 1 minute.
  3. Add olive oil, garlic, cumin and salt. Process for 30 seconds. Scarp sides and process for another 30 seconds.
  4. Add beans and process for 30 seconds. Scrap sides of food processor and process another 30 seconds.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time and process until you reach desired consistency.
  6. Put in a container, sprinkle with paprika, cover and store in the fridge for up to a week. Serve with vegetables or crackers.
