My nephews (8 and 10) love this recipe. It's the only way I can get them to eat veggies and they are very picky eaters.

Ingredients

  • 1 can garbanzo beans 15 oz
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2-3 tablespoons water
  • pinch - paprika

How To Make hummus

  • Step 1
    Peel garbanzo beans. Rinse with water and a dash of lemon juice.
  • Step 2
    In a food processor mix tahini and lemon juice for 1 minute.
  • Step 3
    Add olive oil, garlic, cumin and salt. Process for 30 seconds. Scarp sides and process for another 30 seconds.
  • Step 4
    Add beans and process for 30 seconds. Scrap sides of food processor and process another 30 seconds.
  • Step 5
    Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time and process until you reach desired consistency.
  • Step 6
    Put in a container, sprinkle with paprika, cover and store in the fridge for up to a week. Serve with vegetables or crackers.
