chocolate chip cookie dough dip

I tried many recipes that were supposed to be cookie dough dip, and they all seemed to taste more like sweetened cream cheese with chocolate chips in them. So I experimented until I came up with this one & I think it tastes just like the cookie dough we all love to eat!

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 8 ounces heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

How To Make chocolate chip cookie dough dip

  • Step 1
    Melt the 3 Tbsp butter in small sauce pan, add brown sugar & stir to combine. Bring to a boil, & boil 1 minute. Remove from heat & set aside to cool.
  • Step 2
    In large bowl, whip heavy whipping cream, 2 Tbsp sugar & 1 tsp vanilla together until stiff peaks form. Transfer to another bowl & set aside (keep cool).
  • Step 3
    In same mixing bowl, cream 2 Tbsp butter, cream cheese, sugar & vanilla.
  • Step 4
    Slowly add powdered sugar, and flour, to cream cheese mixture, beat until well combined.
  • Step 5
    Add brown sugar butter mixture to the mixing bowl, and beat until well combined.
  • Step 6
    Carefully fold in whipped cream, then chocolate chips. Mixture will be very soft.
  • Step 7
    Refrigerate for 3 hours, or overnight. Serve chilled, with lots of choices for dipping.
