cheddar jalapeño dip

This is a favorite for our Day-after-Thanksgiving evening buffet. The perfect accompaniment to turkey sandwiches. My family always wants the bacon added, do you wonder why? I'll get a picture of it when I make it again this season.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar or mexican cheese
  • 1 medium jalapeño chili pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro or green onions or a blend of both
  • 1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon (optional)
  • - tortilla chips and vegetable dippers

How To Make cheddar jalapeño dip

  • Step 1
    Combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, milk and cumin in a medium bowl; mix well. Stir in cheese, Jalapeño pepper and cilantro/green onions; mix well. Add bacon on top if desired. Serve with tortilla chips and vegetable dippers.
  • Step 2
    To serve dip warm, microwave at 50% power, stirring after each minute of cooking until dip is warm, but not hot. Top with bacon if desired after heating.
