CHEDDAR, BACON & TOMATO DIP
1 cdiced canned tomatoes, drained
2 clovegarlic, minced
1/2 tspdried oregano
1/2 tspblack pepper
1/4 creduced sodium chicken broth
8 ozwhite cheddar cheese, grated
6 slicecooked bacon, finely chopped
·assorted vegetables and bread cubes
How to Make CHEDDAR, BACON & TOMATO DIP
- In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt butter and cook the tomatoes and garlic, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Add oregano and black pepper.
- In a small bowl, stir together chicken broth and cornstarch. Add to tomato mixture and simmer, stirring, about 1 minute.
- Add the white cheddar by handfuls until completely melted. Add cooked bacon and serve warm with vegetables, cut up, or toasted bread cubes, or crackers.
