This is a time tested family favorite recipe, passed down for 3 generations from my grandfather! It is wonderful over biscuits for a sweet breakfast or over cake as a dessert.

  • 2 c
  • 2 1/2-3 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 2 pinch
  • 1 heaping Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1 can(s)
    evaporated milk
  • 1/2 stick
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Grandpa Ragland's Chocolate Gravy


  1. Combine first dry ingredients in medium sauce pan. Smooth out all of the lumps.
  2. Stir in evaporated milk and add butter.
  3. Cook on Medium heat, stirring every little bit until it comes to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  4. ENJOY!!! :)
