This is an old recipe given to me by my, "Canning buddy" years ago. It's written by hand on a slip of paper. I don't know where this recipe came from, it's one of those handed down from someone who found it somewhere or got it from someone from somewhere. I remember making this and it was sooooo good!

Ingredients

  • 10 cups tomatoes: cored, peeled, seeded, and chopped
  • 5 cups green peppers: seeded and chopped
  • 5 cups chopped onions
  • 2 1/2 cups hot peppers: seeded and chopped
  • 1 1/4 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic: minced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

How To Make zesty salsa

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a huge pot
  • Step 2
    Bring to a boil, simmer 10 minutes
  • Step 3
    pack salsa into pint jars: This recipe makes 6 pints
  • Step 4
    Hot water bath 15 minutes
