Zesty Salsa

This is an old recipe given to me by my, "Canning buddy" years ago. It's written by hand on a slip of paper. I don't know where this recipe came from, it's one of those handed down from someone who found it somewhere or got it from someone from somewhere. I remember making this and it was sooooo good!

10 c
tomatoes: cored, peeled, seeded, and chopped
5 c
green peppers: seeded and chopped
5 c
chopped onions
2 1/2 c
hot peppers: seeded and chopped
1 1/4 c
apple cider vinegar
3 clove
garlic: minced
2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
1 tsp
hot pepper sauce

How to Make Zesty Salsa


  • 1Combine all ingredients in a huge pot
  • 2Bring to a boil, simmer 10 minutes
  • 3pack salsa into pint jars: This recipe makes 6 pints
  • 4Hot water bath 15 minutes
