Ingredients

  • 2 cans diced tomatoes - drain the juice from one can (14.5 oz each)
  • 2 - jalapenos, sliced in half (remove the white part and seeds if desired)
  • 1 teaspoon (heaping) minced jarred garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup finely diced white onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro, stems and leaves (measure after chopping)

How To Make happy hour salsa

  • Step 1
    Add jalapenos, garlic, sugar, salt, and the juice from the one can of tomatoes to the blender, and pulse about 5 times. Pour in tomatoes. Pulse about 20 times until a slightly chunky consistency.
  • Step 2
    Pour tomato mixture into a medium-sized bowl. Stir in onion and cilantro. Serve with tortilla chips.
