This is a nice basic tomato sauce you can cook in minutes and still has the favor of slow hour taste.. I make this lot... I use this for my Baked Red eggs... yummo

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small red onion,finely sliced
- 1 - garlic cloves , minced
- 2 cans petite diced tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon crumbled dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 4 cups low-sodium vegetable broth

Step 1Heat the oil in a large saucepan over med heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened., 4 minutes. Add the garlic and basil; cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant., 1 minute. then add the tomato, pepper flakes and salt, bring it to a boil. reduce the heat and simmer until thicken stirring to avoid sticking.
