This is a nice basic tomato sauce you can cook in minutes and still has the favor of slow hour taste.. I make this lot... I use this for my Baked Red eggs... yummo

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small red onion,finely sliced
  • 1 - garlic cloves , minced
  • 2 cans petite diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon crumbled dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 4 cups low-sodium vegetable broth

How To Make spicy tomato sauce

  • Step 1
    Heat the oil in a large saucepan over med heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened., 4 minutes. Add the garlic and basil; cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant., 1 minute. then add the tomato, pepper flakes and salt, bring it to a boil. reduce the heat and simmer until thicken stirring to avoid sticking. Stir in the parsley..
  • Step 2
    Transfer 1 cup to container and cool for 4 days for later use..
