This is a nice basic tomato sauce you can cook in minutes and still has the favor of slow hour taste.. I make this lot... I use this for my Baked Red eggs... yummo

Ingredients

olive oil
1 small
red onion,finely sliced

garlic cloves , minced
2 can(s)
petite diced tomatoes
1/2 tsp
crumbled dried basil
1/4 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp
red pepper flakes
1/4 c
chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
4 c
low-sodium vegetable broth

How to Make Spicy Tomato Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat the oil in a large saucepan over med heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened., 4 minutes. Add the garlic and basil; cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant., 1 minute. then add the tomato, pepper flakes and salt, bring it to a boil. reduce the heat and simmer until thicken stirring to avoid sticking. Stir in the parsley..
  • 2Transfer 1 cup to container and cool for 4 days for later use..
