salsa (pico de gallo)

I started making this salsa about 20 years ago. It's always a hit with my family and friends at bbq's and parties! Also entered it in to my husband's command wide salsa contest at NAS Leemore (FRC west) in 2009 (I think ) won 1st place! Eat with your favorite tortilla chips Add mashed avocado to a yummy guacamole Goes great with chicken. Or shredded beef tacos

Ingredients For salsa (pico de gallo)

  • 4
    serreano peppers
  • 1 lg
    white onion
  • 1 bunch
    cilantro, fresh
  • 10 md
    roma tomatoes
  • 1 lg
    lemon (juice of one)
  • salt to tast

How To Make salsa (pico de gallo)

    Chop Serrano, onion ,tomatoes, and cilantro One by one with either a Sharpe knife or food processor to your desired chunkiness. I prefer small bits of Serrano and chunkier tomatoes and onions

    Add each ingredient to a large bowl Juice lemon in to bowl , salt to taste and stir ingredients until well blended.
