4 largegreen peppers
3 Tbspcrushed red pepper flakes
3 Tbspchili powder
1 Tbspdried garlic - can be flakes or powder or can also use fresh
1/2 cwhite distilled vinegar
1/8 ccanning salt (approx. 2 tablespoons)
How to Make Kris's Salsa
- Dice up all ingredients and boil for 5 minutes.
- Thicken with equal parts of corn starch and water. *1/2 cup corn starch dissolved in 1/2 cup cold water worked for each batch for me.
- Boil 5 more minutes. Fill sterilized jars to 1/4 inch from the top of the jar. Seal with sterilized lids and rings and boil in hot water bath for 15 minutes for pints and 20 minutes for quarts. You can adjust the ingredients to your taste. Enjoy!!
