Another one of my salsa recipes written down on the back of an old envelope. I used to make this years ago and loved it's zing in chili! Yields about 4 pints

Ingredients For jalapeno salsa

  • 3 c
    tomatoes: peeled and chopped
  • 3 c
    jalapenos: seeded and chopped
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 6 clove
    garlic: minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    cilantro, fresh
  • 2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    cumin
  • 1 c
    cider vinegar

How To Make jalapeno salsa

  • 1
    Combine all ingredients into a heavy pot
  • 2
    Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes. STIR to prevent scorching
  • 3
    Pour into jars, leave 1/4" head space
  • 4
    Process hot water bath for 15 minutes
