This recipe has been passed down through my family for generations. I remember my grandmother and my mother making it. Yummy as a relish with chicken or pork. It of course makes yummy pie. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

10 largetomato (green)

3 csugar

1 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspallspice

1/2 tspclove, ground

1 tspsalt

1/4 capple cider vinegar

1 1/2 ptapples, granny smith (chopped)

1 lbraisins (ground)
How to Make Green Tomato Mincemeat
- Grind Green Tomatoes, put in strainer and drain off all juice.
Grind raisins - Measure one pint of ground tomato. Pour into a 10 cup pot.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook on low heat until thick. About an hour
- Put into hot pint jars and seal while boiling hot. For a sure seal, once lids are on and tightened, turn bottles upside down till cool.
