Ingredients

  • 2 cans 26oz. green tomatillos( i use goya brand)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup sweet onion chopped fine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon adobo powder with pepper
  • 3 sprigs serrano chiles
  • 1 cup cilantro, fresh

How To Make green tomatillo sauce for enhiladas

  • Step 1
    In a heavy skillet,sauté the onion,garlic and chiles until soft and translucent in the olive oil,add the adobo,cliantro and the Tomatillos,simmer and break up the tomato when softened for about ten minutes,let cool for five minute.
  • Step 2
    place the Tomatillo mixture in your food proscessor or blender and puree! Now you have delicious green sauce for your enchiladas,burritos,rice,chicken,fish,tacos,etc.etc. I have an easy poblano sauce that works well with Mexican foods as well!
